It was a tough day out for our Subiaco-Floreat - 1s, who were bested by Midland-Guildford - 1s in a disappointing result.
With the bat first up, we compiled 254 from 49.5 overs. Sam Smith made a great 66 off 79 balls, a well-made fifty. Geremy Fatouros passed fifty on the way to 58 off 42 balls with eight fours and one six. Hudson Knight was the best of Midland-Guildford - 1s' bowlers, finishing with four for 50.
Our opponents reached the target at 7/255 in 46.3 overs. The visitors' best was a half-century from Knight, who made 83. Fifty for Hayden Kain, who made 66 for our opponents. Our best with the ball was Hamish McKenzie, who took four for 47.
Credit to the visitors, who played well.
