It was a disappointing outing for our Subiaco-Floreat - 2s, who were beaten by Melville - 2s by nine wickets at Floreat Park on Saturday.
Batting first, we were all out for 141 in 43.1 overs. Ross Williams played a good hand of 41 off 58 balls. Sam Malajczuk contributed 33 off 45 balls. Lewis Martin claimed four for 21 for Melville - 2s.
Our opponents reached the target at 1/144 in 31.2 overs. Credit to Lachlan Farrow, who made a half-century (63) for the visitors.
Not our day, but there's plenty to work with.
Congratulations to our opponents on the win.
