Our Subiaco-Floreat - 2s had plenty to celebrate after they came away winners against Mount Lawley - 2s in a finish that went down to the wire.
Batting first, Mount Lawley - 2s posted 6/229 from 50 overs. A century to Jake Littleton for our opponents: 115 not out. Ben Whelpdale made a useful 32 for the visitors. Sam Malajczuk led the way with the ball, finishing with two for 28.
In reply, the team reached the target at 8/232 in 48.5 overs. Take a bow, Malajczuk: a brilliant 126 not out off 132 balls with twelve fours. Ross Williams provided good support with 33. Our opponents' best with the ball was Sean Hayes (four for 48).
Congratulations to all involved.
