It was a day to regroup for our Subiaco-Floreat - 4s, who were bettered by Perth - 4s on a day that didn't go our way.
We batted first and put 130 on the board from 34 overs. Jean Whitmore posted a half-century, making 69 not out off 71 balls with twelve fours and one six. Aiden Ellison did the damage for Perth - 4s with three for 16.
Our opponents reached the target at 6/131 in 29.1 overs. For the hosts, Christiaan Moir was unbeaten on 45. With the ball, Thomas Ness did the damage, claiming two for 16 off six overs.
We'll take the lessons from this one and go again. The results haven't gone our way lately, but the team will keep at it. On to the next one.
