Despite some good moments, our Subiaco-Floreat - 2s were denied by University - 2s in 1. Senior Male action.
After batting first, we finished on 8/216 from 43 overs. Leading the way was Zakary Beattie with 44 off 52 balls. Blake Davies also got among the runs with 40 off 58 balls. Elijah Dare did the damage for University - 2s with three for 42.
In reply, the visitors passed our total, finishing on 5/221 in 37.4 overs. Credit to Braydon Fernandes, who made a half-century (67) for our opponents. Damien Sweet passed fifty for the visitors, finishing with 52 not out. Sam Malajczuk was the pick of our bowlers with two for 48.
There are plenty of positives to take out of this one. Plenty to work on, and plenty to like.
