It was one to learn from for our Subiaco-Floreat - 4s, who were pipped by Midland-Guildford - 4s away from home.
Batting first, we posted 154 from 45 overs. Neel Kalia's 73 off 122 balls was a half-century to remember. Solid support came from Jean Whitmore, who made 36. Credit to Dylan Clements, who took three for 20 for Midland-Guildford - 4s.
The hosts knocked off the runs, finishing on 9/155 in 44.2 overs. Matthew Hampson was the main threat for our opponents, making 29. Kieran Rakich was the pick of our bowlers with four for 17. Owen Daily chipped in with two for 26.
So close, and plenty of positives to take away. The team will be keen to bounce back.
